Colour Pencil Pet Portraits with Megan Bray (4wk) Sept 13-Oct 4, 2023 6:30-9:30pm

Learn Megan's methodical process for drawing realistic pet portraits using colour pencil. This new 4 week course will aim to cover a range of topics from choosing a reference photo, measuring methods, and colour selection to layering, burnishing, and highlights.

These meticulous drawings mean you spend significant time with the subject, and in every layer you find something new and get to know them better! Expect to spend a little time working on your piece at home between classes.

Materials for Students to Bring:

• Graphite pencil - HB or 2B + dark pencil for transfer 8B 
• Colour Pencils - Faber Castell Polychromos *Bring what you have to the first day, and choose your colours onsite based on your chosen reference.
• Erasers - kneaded and white plastic/vinyl
  
• Sketchbook
• Knitting needle (thin double ended) or skewers
• Masonite boards x2 (for transport) 16x20 or 18x24 (must fit reference side by side with drawing 
  
• Paper for final piece - Stonehenge or Artistico - 9x12 or 11x14

Materials ARTiculations will Provide

• Tracing paper for smudge protection
• Painters Tape
• A Selection of other materials to test/try

All ARTiculations workshops require advance registration, unless otherwise noted. In the event of insufficient enrolment, registrants will be notified prior to the workshop start date and a full refund will be given. No refunds/credits will be provided for withdrawal fewer than one week prior to the start of class. ARTiculations does not provide make-up classes or substitutions.
