Printmaking with Multiple Plates - April 1, 2023 | 1:00 - 4:00pm
Using multiple plates can be helpful in creating more dynamic prints! In this 3hr workshop with artist Loree Ovens, participants will learn to use more than one plate to create a print on an etching press. Previous experience is helpful but not mandatory.
Materials included, but please bring an apron and pair of nitrile gloves (the inks can be messy), and a folder or portfolio for transporting your prints home.
Loree Ovens is a visual artist working in a variety of media including a wide range of printmaking techniques. Her specialties include etching, collagraph, drypoint, relief and screen. Her background in craft and textiles has led her to produce encaustic, sculptural and metal work. Loree is also known for her use of washi (handmade Japanese paper).
She enjoys teaching all ages & skill levels.
Loree’s work has been shown in national and international exhibitions in Canada, Japan, United States, Taiwan, Australia and Scotland. Her work is part of both private and public collections including the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, Art Gallery of New South Wales, National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, Australia and SGC International.
Loree Ovens is represented by Propeller Gallery and Open Studio in Toronto.

In the event of insufficient enrolment, registrants will be notified prior to the workshop start date and a full refund will be given.
