Exceptionally lightfast, this is a true high-performance pigment. According to some artists, quinacridone magenta is a substitute for less lightfast alizarin crimson and is often called "Permanent Alizarin" by some companies.
An issue with many organic pigments is that they are typically not as lightfast, solvent-fast, or heatfast as inorganic pigments. However, quinacridone magenta has excellent fastness properties and high tinting strength.
