These wonderful papers are made by a highly-skilled, young papermaker based in Oguni village in the beautiful prefecture of Niigata. When dyed with fermented green persimmon juice (kakishibu), they become water resistent. These papers will darken a bit naturally with age. The lovely format of this paper lends itself well to working in a series.
