Do you love to draw but avoid drawing people? Have you been building your drawing skills
and want to expand on what you have learned? Drawing portraits can feel daunting at first, but there is a certain joy in discovering a person through drawing them!

Join us for this 4 week course as we cover the basics of drawing the human form, this course will get you more comfortable with sketching people out in the world and from your favourite photos. We will touch on measuring, simplifying complex forms, basic proportions for faces and bodies, gesture drawing, and show you warm ups to hone your skills in and out of class! 

A great next step after Absolute Beginner Drawing and Beginner Drawing, this course is ideal for those ready to take on the challenge of figure drawing in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Materials for Students to Bring:

• Graphite pencils - HB, 2B, 4B, 6B
• Erasers - kneaded and white plastic/vinyl
  
• Sketchbook 9x12 or 11x14
  
• A pad of large white paper (for loose sketches / gestures) - 18x24 cartridge pad

Materials ARTiculations will Provide

• Tracing paper for smudge protection
• Painters Tape
• A Selection of other materials to test/try

All ARTiculations workshops require advance registration, unless otherwise noted. In the event of insufficient enrolment, registrants will be notified prior to the workshop start date and a full refund will be given. No refunds/credits will be provided for withdrawal fewer than one week prior to the start of class. ARTiculations does not provide make-up classes or substitutions.
