Learn the basics of perspective drawing to add dimension and depth to your drawings!

Whether it is your cup of coffee, the table underneath, the room you are sitting in, or the houses on your street, perspective applies to just about everything we draw. Once the mechanics of perspective are understood, sketching all subjects can feel more approachable.

This fundamental drawing skill makes a world of difference in representational work, helping us to more accurately give a sense of distance and depth. With some practice, you’ll find it easier to estimate perspective by eye and even exaggerate it as a stylistic choice!

The basics of 1 point, 2 point, and multi-point linear perspective will be covered along with how this applies to various subjects and shapes at different scales. Through drawing exercises, guidance with different subject matter, and sketching on-site, we will explore how this applies to our surroundings and put it to practice.
