Oh My Gouache! Beginner Gouache Painting with Megan Bray
July 4 & 5, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Learn to work with this versatile medium through a variety of exercises and subject matter.

Each week's theme gives us the chance to learn techniques, properties of gouache, and play with stylizing as it applies to each subject matter.  We'll dive into colour mixing, layering, blending, glazing, and all the creative possibilities of traditional gouache!

What is Gouache anyway?!
Gouache (rhymes with squash, say it like gwaash!) is watercolour’s opaque cousin - a water-soluble and buttery paint with a matte finish and easy cleanup. Traditional gouache is always re-wettable, whereas acrylic gouache is permanent once dry.
