Youth Studio is our signature after school art class for youth ages 8–13.
This 12-class program is designed for young artists who are ready to develop their skills and expand their creative thinking. Areas of exploration can go anywhere: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and more. In our first class, artists will be encouraged to share their areas and materials of interest, as well as what challenges them. Through this, we establish as a group what we would like to explore for the session.
We focus on play and process, with opportunities for experimentation that lead to artistic growth. As practicing artists and art educators, we bring a studio-quality learning environment to our small group format. The limited class size (maximum 8 students) ensures individual attention and support, allowing students to build confidence in their creative voice and connect with others through shared exploration.
Fall 2025 Instructor Feature: Megan Bray
Megan Bray is a core member of the ARTiculations teaching and shop team, working with both youth and adults. A Toronto-based visual artist with over a decade of teaching experience, Megan brings deep care, curiosity, and creative rigour to the classroom.
Known for her vibrant gouache and coloured pencil work that include custom pet and home portraits, Megan is also an avid urban sketcher and plein air painter. Her approach to materials and her commitment to sketchbook practice inspire us and our youth artists!
REGISTRATION POLICY in a nutshell
All ARTiculations workshops require advance registration, unless otherwise noted. In the event of insufficient enrolment, registrants will be notified prior to the workshop start date and a full refund will be given. No refunds/credits will be provided for withdrawal fewer than five business days prior to the start of class. ARTiculations does not provide make-up classes or substitutions. This policy is subject to change without notice.
